Julia DesCarpentrie is passionate about orphan care, adoption and fostering. She has been blessed to live out God’s call on her life in those areas through her work with Hope for Orphans and in her love filled home. Julia is the mom of five children entrusted to her care through birth, adoption and fostering. She is an active volunteer and has served on several community board’s, most recently to bring a foster care church initiative to her county in an effort to encourage more Christian families to foster children in need. Five years ago her professional career morphed into immersing herself full time in social media before she found a home here as our Managing Editor. Janel Breitenstein graduated summa cum laude from John Brown University and began her career with NavPress, where she worked on The Message Bible. After having four children she resumed her professional career (around her momlife) by serving as a writer for FamilyLife. In January of 2012 Janel and her husband John packed up their family of six and moved to Uganda to serve with Engineering Ministries International (eMi), an organization that focuses on poverty relief and development, providing structural design and construction management for Christian organizations in the third world. Valerie Seely has a B.S. from Texas A&M University in Secondary Education with Math and Theater Arts Specialties. After teaching high school math for 3 years, she and her husband joined Campus Crusade for Christ. Seventeen years ago they started their staff life together with FamilyLife. Since then they have served at the World Headquarters in Orlando, and are in there eighth year at the Headquarters of Eastern European and Russia, in Hungary. Valerie serves on the Area Leadership Development Team, coaches and mentors national staff women in various countries, and is passionate about helping women develop their God -given strengths.

Chao and her husband James Wanje live in Nairobi, Kenya. They have two boys, Morris and Francis. James leads the FamilyLife Kenya team. Chao is also a Biblical Counselor. In addition to working alongside her husband, Chao spends time counseling with both women and married couples.

Achim and Conny work with CCC Russia since 1992 and with FamilyLife since 2000, leading it in Moscow and south west region of Russia. There are developing materials and website, training and developing leaders, speakers and other volunteers in order to build a FL movement in their area. Organize and speak at FL seminars and weekends to remember. Organize and develop different kind of evangelistic outreaches to Russian families.
